Attracting eyeballs, raising eyebrows and increasing sales at a quick-serve Mexican restaurant chain during the message-cluttered election season of 2016.
The brand personality we strategically developed – quirky, fun and unexpected – gave us the ideal platform to stand out from a crowded field of contenders for consumers’ attention. On Election Day, we offered something chain-wide that everyone could agree on – a free serving of guacamole and chips. Through Outdoor, Online, Social, Public Relations and In-Store POP, everyone was encouraged to come Guac the Vote.
It was a landslide – a 9.5% lift in sales and an 18% increase in transactions, the most single-day transactions in the brand’s history.
