Giving Practice Physicians the Data To Succeed

The Genesis Physicians Group website delivers flexible functionality, with protected practice support tools for its independent doctors.

As the largest independent practice network in North Texas, the 1,400+ physicians of Genesis Physicians Group have specific needs for near-time data – and content security. Genesis was adding professionals to its network at a steady pace and its physicians needed stronger marketing tools to succeed. Meanwhile, the healthcare landscape was growing more complex with insurance plans and rate structures.

Leveraging our experience with the challenges of healthcare digital projects (including HIPAA privacy and databases), we started with a Sharepoint content management system (CMS) and integrated it with Microsoft Dynamics.

The new site offers a wealth of tools and information behind its physician log-in, including resources integrated into an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with reimbursement rate lookups, a customized fee scheduling system, webinars and payor updates.

Collaborating closely with our client, our strategists and technology experts took the best components from two solid platforms –  Sharepoint and Microsoft Dynamics – to deliver the best marketing tools, information and resources for independent physicians to succeed.

With crisp visuals and easily scannable content, our creative components support the can-do brand personality of the client. They also help guide users to the information they need efficiently, and support the compelling content of the site.

A good amount of .net customization and SQL database integration was required from our tech team. The new site integrates with a number of back-end systems, with a toolset that allows staff and users to interact efficiently. And it is scalable, so literally hundreds of new members can be added without overloading the system.

For the custom fee scheduling system, the site maintains standard Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes used by insurance companies for healthcare billing. As fees are updated, members can query the site easily. The site manages a multi-million row database, with about 60,000 CPT codes and modifiers.
