DALLAS – PRLog — Imaginuity client, Stuck in Customs by Trey Ratcliff, is the recipient of a Best in Show 2014 W3 Award for Website Features-Photography. This prestigious award, as selected by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts ( represents the highest mark of distinction selected by the Academy based on scoring. The judges award Best in Show honors to only the top 1% of all work entered. The Stuck in Customs by Trey Ratcliff site designed by the team at Imaginuity, scored its winning marks in creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design, and ease of use.

The Imaginuity relationship with Trey Ratcliff started in Austin, TX, back in 2005. From that first casual meeting the connection was strong. Years later, when Trey- considered the leading HDR photographer in the world – and his team were looking to create the Stuck in Customs site, his team reached out to Imaginuity. Imaginuity was honored to create the virtual stage showcasing his sought-after work, travels, knowledge, videos and products. The end result is stunning, and now recognized by the 2014 Best in Show W3 Award.

“One of the many things Imaginuity does so well is work to understand its customers.” Said Gary Hooker, Partner at Imaginuity. “This site was designed to be the backdrop for the immense creativity of this unique customer. Navigation and usability needed to be sharp, and natural for the users. Our team worked closely with the Stuck in Customs team to meet their technical and design needs, delivering the perfect complement to Trey Ratcliff’s portfolio. We are very happy with the elegant result.”

“I’m best known for, well, I suppose, this site,, which has become the #1 Travel Photography Blog on the Internet. I started early with the sharing, and Google has tracked billions of views, which is mind-boggling to me! At least a few of those views are from my mom, who visits the site many times per day! My work first became popular after I had the honor of having the first HDR photo ever to hang in the Smithsonian. I grew up blind in one eye and this might have changed the way I view the world. I don’t know. It’s hard to be objective about the way one’s brain was wired. My background is in computer science and math, so I bring an algorithm-like process to capturing the scene in such a way that it evokes memories in a palpable manner. Whatever that means. My promise to you: One New Photo Every Day. Probably.” Excerpted from Trey Ratcliff, Stuck in Customs.
