DALLAS – PRLog –The City of University Park, Texas is the recipient of a 2014 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Award for Outstanding Website. Produced by the Web Marketing Association, IAC Awards recognize online advertising excellence in a wide variety of industry categories. Imaginuity Interactive entered University Park’s website redesign in the competition’s government category. Entries are judged on the basis of creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting, use of medium and memorability. Awards are given to entries that panelists rate as best in each industry category.
In 2013, University Park sat down with Imaginuity Interactive to discuss a major redesign of its city website. “Planning our new website, the city had three key objectives,” said Steve Mace, Community Information Officer for the City of University Park. “We wanted a layout with vibrant photography to immediate convey the beauty and charm of our parks, neighborhoods and retail centers. Secondly, we wanted easy-to-use navigation with one-click access to the most sought-after information and transactions. Finally, the site had to highlight our news and video offerings regardless of the platform selected.” In summing up the collaboration, Mace commented, “We launched the new site last December. Based on increases in both page views and time spent on the site, we couldn’t be happier.”
The City of University Park has a long history with Imaginuity Interactive for its website development. “We enjoy our collaboration, and we are happy to have the site receive this recognition,” said Gary Hooker, Partner at Imaginuity. “This is the third version of the website over the 10-year period we’ve worked together. The custom illustration and iconography make it beautiful and easy to navigate.
