We are seeking a data-driven, strategic marketer to lead a high-preforming team of agency marketing and account managers to deliver ever-increasing business results for our clients.

Position Summary:

You are the business lead – and expert in the client’s business – responsible for shaping and delivering effective marketing programs. You inspire your team, clients, and colleagues to great ideas and great work. You are also the face of the agency, embodying and representing our reputation and work – both internally and externally. You push the Agency to deliver beyond the “ask” and are forward-thinking, leading the client and the agency team to greater and greater results.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Partners with peers to create innovative ways to impact the client’s business results
  • Understands the business model and key drivers of the client’s success
  • Leads the development and presentation of marketing communications plans, ensuring plans are strategically sound and imaginative
  • Partners with Planning to form insights into the category, competitive environment, brand health and customer

  • Ensures the agency operates on a solid foundation by building strong, impenetrable senior client relationships
  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of client business issues, industry, competitors and brands

  • Serves as key advisor to clients on marketing and business issues
  • Communicates effectively – and is credible – with senior and executive clients

Business Management:

  • Passionately defends, grows and manages key accounts
  • Partner with Finance to manage the financial health of account(s), including revenue, growth, profitability and delivery of forecasts
  • Has a keen, almost intuitive sense of financial implications of business decisions
  • Identifies organic growth opportunities and develops and leads account growth plans
  • Allocates resources effectively, balancing client needs with profitability
  • Recruits talent that raises the bar on creativity and quality


  • Inspires entire team to deliver work that is breakthrough, strategically sound and impactful
  • Serves as continuous advisor to your team to ensure everyone executes the work effectively and smoothly and serves as point of escalation for both internal teams and clients in solving challenges
  • Serves as the champion for the agency’s POV – partners internally to shape the work, craft selling strategies, and sell and defend work to clients on all key initiatives

Agency Initiatives:

  • Supports Executive Director in the development and implementation of various agency initiatives
  • Supports executive team in the development and implementation of agency marketing plans and assets
  • Partners with executive team in the development of new business proposals and pitches

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in marketing or related field
  • 15+ years’ experience in agency account/media management or client-side marketing
  • Franchised/filed marketing experience a plus, both on client and agency side
  • Established track record of successfully managing client relationships and developing effective marketing programs
  • Confident in dealing with multiple clients and/or franchise groups simultaneously
  • Expert understanding of marketing and advertising principles across disciplines
  • Strong understanding of both traditional, digital and social media channels
  • Capable of analyzing results, drawing appropriate conclusions and reacting to an ever-changing marketing environment
  • Able to write effective strategy documents and client presentations
  • Ability to assess ideas and directions for fit with marketing objectives and strategies
  • Ability to work within a KPI-driven environment
  • Understands how to solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to ever-increasing success
  • Is polished in written and oral presentation skills – persuasively and effectively advances agency POV in writing and in meetings
  • Works to a high professional standard
  • Travel requirements are associated with the position
