Networking is the lifeblood of most good sales organizations. While there are new networking “groups” popping up each day, what remains key is the right spot to do your one-to-one meeting while surrounded by other potential opportunities. The kind of place where you’re bound to see people who you know and people you’d like to meet. I opened up my planner, looked at the trend, and what emerged? The top five meeting spots for new business in Dallas (Central Business District), from dawn to dusk.
#1 Flying Fish, Preston Center – Perhaps the ultimate business breakfast location. Plenty of bankers, brokers and others who are up before the Sun.
#2 Starbucks, West Village – A second home to many Start-ups and a regular stop for those heading downtown.
#3 Dragonfly at Hotel ZaZa, Uptown – From 5:30 to 8pm, sit at the corner of the bar and talk about your business in your best “out-loud” voice. You’ll find it attracts good attention every time.
#4 Drip Coffee, W. Lovers Lane – Once the HP kids clear out, it’s all business and often the perfect alternative to any Starbucks.
#5 Gloria’s, Uptown – The bar is just loud enough to be energetic, but not too loud for a good conversation. Plus, eventually the strong drinks will make your value props sound amazing.
Honorable Mention: Taco Diner, West Village; Breadwinners, Uptown; Starbucks, HP Village
