Imaginuity has always prided itself on being involved with the community. It’s personally rewarding, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s typically fun at the same time.
One of our favorite community projects is “On My Own Time.” The Business Council for the Arts puts on the annual art competition for business professionals in the group’s member companies throughout the region. For the fourth straight summer, we will tap into our artistic sides via literary, visual or musical channels. (Believe me, you don’t want me to even think about tapping into the latter.)
If you follow us on social media, you already know our employees have some serious artistic talent. Incidentally, you also know what a hogtopus and a wolf shark look like.
We’ve held onto several employee submissions from past years, including a cool ode to Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds by Art Director, Katrina Hubbard, decorating the walls of our office.
Once the entries are ready to go, they will be independently judged by professionals within the arts community selected by the Business Council for the Arts. Imaginuity will then have an in-house art show to display the work. The winners in the Amateur, Professional and Best of Show categories will be displayed Sept. 14-28 at NorthPark Center.
I can’t think of a better way to channel all of our imagination and ingenuity.
