Contrary to what we might believe, indoor air can be up to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air. In fact, with every breath you take (every move you make), you inhale everything from mildew, dust and dirt, to allergens, chemical vapors and viruses.
Since the vast majority of us spend most of our time indoors, we knew it was important to get people to think differently about the quality of air in their home.
In this category, however, it’s notoriously difficult to create relevant social content. By and large, people want to be entertained on social media, and there’s not much entertaining about HVAC. In fact, if you think about it for long enough, the idea of hazardous indoor air is actually pretty scary. But we had a solution.
Enter adorable puppies, adorable babies, and the tiniest little sneezes you can imagine.
While the video was fun, the message was serious, and so were the results. Our short, 30-second video has reached over 140k views on Facebook in less than a week. It has also resulted in a multitude of shares and comments.
More importantly, we were able to get over 140,000 people to think differently about the quality of air in their home, and think of our client, Service Experts, as an authority in air quality and home comfort in its entirety. Not bad for less than 30 seconds of sneezes.
