Why Being an Intern at Imaginuity Rocks

Hello everyone, I am Natasha Brandt; a UTD Marketing student, and I have the pleasure of being Imaginuity’s SEO intern for the summer of 2013. I recently took a course in Digital & Social Media Marketing that really sparked my interest in SEO and I am excited about this opportunity to learn more about the field of work from an awesome company!

At Imaginuity you work hard and you play hard. If you spent a day in the office you would see all the employees at their desk, collaborating with others or in meetings, brainstorming and providing creative services for their clients. There are constantly deadlines to meet and new clients to wow. Imaginuty sets high standards for the work they show and provide to their clients and will not settle for mediocre.

Award Winning Digital Marketing Agency

Imaginuity has earned a wide range of awards. In 2012 they won the Silver Award for Best Integrated Branding Campaign for their work on American National Bank of Texas. They won the Silver ADDY for Best Consumer HTML website for Plaza Las Americas bilingual site launch and two Bronze ADDYs for Corporate rebranding and relaunch of wallyspartyfactory.com and swimmingpool.com, just to name a few.

Trending with the Times

When you are working for a digital marketing firm, it is expected that you are staying up to date with the latest trends in all online aspects, whether you are tweeting about the latest topics or starting your own trends. Today, videos are a big trend; Imagunity has their own YouTube channel as well as a Vine for our shorter fun videos. This was a video made during the times of the Harlem Shake! Keeping up with trends can take research, but as you can see, it is also a ton of fun!

Imaginuity Giving Back to the Community

Giving back to the community is a big part of our culture here at Imaginuity. It’s not only a tradition our company was founded on, it gives our team a chance to bond, build relationships, and help those that need it the most! Here are a few of our events:

  • North Texas Food Bank: Volunteers were able to help sort and package food for the NTFB which has been fighting against hunger for 30 years, providing North Texas families 47,100,000 meals just this year.
  • Hunger Buster: Hunger Busters has a great mission, they provide kids that are food insecure with a much needed third meal, without Hunger Busters, some of these kids may not get that meal. Our volunteers were able to help these folks out by packaging up those third meals.
  • Cadiz Bridge Project: Through extensive planning, amazing volunteers and a partnership with Matthews Southwest and South Side Public Improvement, we were able to help beautify Cadiz Bridge located on the South Side of Downtown Dallas.

Office Culture

Imaginuity’s office isn’t always work, work, work. We have a very fun environment. Feel free to decorate your personal space to express your personality. There are tons of options to break free from work for a minute and enjoy the great people around you.

Does your work have you at a breaking point? Are you having a creative mental block? Pick up your nerf gun and start a war with a work friend! Phew, that feels better! Just make sure you watch your back, paybacks are guaranteed to be delivered.

Imaginuity’s office is full of women, so it is only appropriate that we show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Now last but not least, after a long week of meetings, deadlines and wowing clients comes a great way to wind down….TEQUILA FRIDAYS! Yes, you heard that correctly, Friday afternoons, when the office shuts down, those who are of age and wish to participate are invited to share a bottle of patron, drink a beer or just hang out and relax. Now that is my kind of Friday!
