COME VISIT US TODAY: On Wednesday, June 29, Imaginuity Interactive welcomes Digital Dallas to our offices on South Lamar Street at South Side Dallas. We’ll be hosting the Meetup in the common space just adjacent to our offices from 6:00-8:00 p.m. For those of you who are not familiar with Digital Dallas, the organization was created to bring together the digital minds of Dallas and the greater DFW area to network, showcase local talent, educate and facilitate idea exchange. In the past, the event has drawn about 100-150 people, and I love this organization because there are no dues, no awards, no nametags, and no B.S. Just like-minds coming together to celebrate great creativity and technology.
[Imaginuity will be providing beer, wine, and great food from our South Side neighbors, Texas Caribbean Food. We’ll also be enjoying live music from The Naptime Shake.]
Typically at Digital Dallas gatherings, one or more speakers present a case study for ten minutes on something cool and innovative that they have recently worked on in the digital arena. Randy Hoyt from the Imaginuity Development team and I will speak for a few minutes to showcase some of our recent strategic, social media and web integration work for Jones Lang LaSalle Retail (JLL Retail).
JLL Retail manages the largest portfolio of retail properties in the country. The firm’s 92 million-square-foot, retail portfolio consists of more than 300 regional malls, strip centers, power centers, lifestyle centers, ground-up development projects, mixed-use centers, transportation terminals and over 18,000 retail ATMs and bank branches across 50 states. The project started in November of 2010 and to date we have launched 31 properties on the platform.
Imaginuity worked with our partner agency The Dealey Group, who is Agency of Record for JLL, and senior management at JLL Retail to develop a shared website strategy for more than 50 of JLL’s major shopping centers around the U.S.
The marketing teams for shopping centers are often very small, overworked and have little or no bandwidth to keep content fresh, websites/social channels and events up to date, or web pages optimized for search. Shopping centers have also historically struggled to secure offers from major retailers and keep sales and promotional content timely and meaningful to consumers.
Our solution involved delivering a core infrastructure to all of the properties in an extremely easy-to-manage and update WordPress based CMS system. All properties’ websites are optimized for search by location, especially for each major and specialty retailer (ex. JC Penney, Cedar Hill).
We also fully integrated the social stream of each property’s major retailers directly into the website. You can see the latest promotions and offers via Twitter and Facebook on both the Homepage (under Retail Buzz) and the News and Offers pages of the website. Users can “Like” the retailers or “Follow” them from both locations and we integrate each property’s social stream (something The Dealey Group works with each property to develop and manage) directly into the website on the Homepage and within the “In the Know” section of the sites.
Now all of the properties’ sites showcase meaningful news and offers, which update hourly, so that content is constantly changing, social and web channels are integrated, and the properties’ marketing staffs can breathe easy.
Please join us on Wednesday the 29th to see the JLL work in action and meet everyone in Digital Dallas. Imaginuity will also supply cab rides home for those who might need it!
